Dick, Missed you at our meeting. Attached is a picture of Larkin Kinsella who , at the end of our support meeting got "The Call" for his new lungs! This picture I took ,is him getting wheeled out of our meeting room to surgery. Angela confirmed with me that everything went fine last night and his family is ecstatic! His wife is Patrica Terry and daughters Brigid and Fiona. You have his permission to but this on the web site. I noticed that you have a picture of Luke already. I did take a picture of Luke and his Mom if you want it. The subjects discussed covered, (1)) sanitation post transplant, (2) Insurance, (3) Transplant House (3 out of the 4 apt. now are lung transplant), (4) the need to get a speaker from Social Security. The lung transplant support group roster is being updated and will be maintained by Karen Beeson. Copies of the list are available at our monthly meetings and a form will be circulated for additions and changes.
 

You can have a copy emailed to you by contacting Karen Beeson by clicking on her name.. If you are using a Mac or other operating system that can't handle MS files, contact UWLUNG for a PDF version. We have decided not to make the list downloadable online for security purposes. If you do not have email access, you can call Karen at 206-932-8584. She will tell you where to send a stamped, self-addressed envelope so she can mail your copy to you.

Any changes to the list can be sent to Karen by either email or phone. If you know that a name on the list should be removed, or if you want your info removed or changed, email Karen by clicking on the above link.

This information was posted previously on this web site, but at some point I had removed the link to it so it was inaccessible. I'll try to make sure it isn't deleted again and list it on the links page.

Bracelets supporting organ donation are being sold by LifeCenter Northwest for $1 each. They sold very well at the meeting. June Richmond ordered a supply of the bracelets and is going to sell them at our meetings (and other places). She will also take mail orders if you supply the postage. All proceeds, of course, go to support LifeCenter Northwest The bracelets say "Donate Life" in English and Spanish.
