Merrilee Striker

Merrilee Ann STRIKER

Merrilee Ann Striker, of Edmonds, died on August 2, 2006 from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, following complications from a lung transplant. Merrilee was born in Bremerton, WA on December 29, 1953 to Bernice and Vernon Swanson, and grew up in Poulsbo, WA. She met her husband, Richard, when they were both in 9th grade at North Kitsap High School. She and Richard were married during their senior year of college at WSU, and had two daughters, Shannah and Christine. Merrilee loved painting, hiking, and photography. In addition to having a strong work ethic (she was listed as a "Five Star Real Estate Agent" by Seattle Magazine). Merrilee was also quick- witted, humble, and full of beauty and grace (crowned Miss Poulsbo, 1971). She was loved very much, and her vibrancy and smile will be missed tremendously. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 - 5th Ave. S., Edmonds, (425)771-1234.
