Timothy I. Vevang
Timothy I. ``Tim'' Vevang of Auburn died June 9, 2005, in Auburn. He was 62. Born May 9, 1943, in Elizabeth, N.J., he served in the Marines and married Judy Boelter on Aug. 7, 1971, in Seattle. He lived in the Auburn and Kent areas for 15 years. Mr. Vevang retired as a engineer. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Covington and the Lung support group at the University of Washington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lesley Vevang, in 2000. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Matt Vevang of Des Moines; mother Bernice Vevang of Issaquah; brothers James Vevang of Renton and Paul Vevang of Burien; and sisters Beverley Price of Sammamish and Shirley Gillard of Minnetonka, Minn.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Covington. Inurnment was at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent.
